Welcome to The PART!
Welcome to the new home of The Poo-Wa-Bah Alumni Resources Troop, also known as The PART. This is a publicly supported, not-for-profit organization recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code. It's purpose and goals are to:
- foster Eastport-South Manor Drama Club students' further involvement in theatre arts before and after graduation through alumni scholarships, internship creation and networking
- support live community theatre producted and performed primarily by ESM Drama Club students
- financially contribute to ESM Theatre Department projects, and support the high school's production time efforts
Scholarships
Not only does The PART help to support theatre in eduction and foster drama as an art, it also provides annual scholarship grants to students graduating from the ESM school district who intent to major in a theatre based program in college. Each year, one drama/musical theatre major and one technical theatre/design or stage management major receives this scholarship at a ceremony held at the Eastport South Manor high school.
Getting Started
Additionally, The PART helps alumni get started in the industry. We can offer financial assistance to those looking to produce or perform in community or professional theatre. Use our member's area to reach out to other alumni and get your questions answered.
